So here how we will install the vCloud Director (vCD). These are the appliance guidelines,
1. Login to the vCenter, deploy the vCD ovf file using the "Deploy OVF Template" wizard. This is a very straight forward process so I have not detailed all the steps here.
2. Below is the screenshot of the last step when you deploy the appliance. Fill in the details, the database is same like what you do when installing vCenter. For a home lab an internal DB should be good to go unless you don't want to
Note: Network 1 IP Address and Network 2 IP Address should not be in same subnet or portgroup. This is because, IP 1 is for the http and IP2 is for console. They both have different role to play.
3. The vCD will be deployed in few minutes with a screen something like below.
4. Once that is done, login to the web browser with the IP given below in the screenshot to access the vCD.
